Can you believe it’s already February, how insane. Saying that, I think I’m the only person in the world that thinks that January has flown over. It must be because I only started the second semester of uni on Monday morning. If you’ve been following me for a while, you will know that I adore doing quite monochromatic makeup looks. Very few days go by when by eyes and my lips do not match, and this look is not going to stray from that formula. When creating this look, I started with the lipstick, for a change, as I wanted to build an eye that was almost the same shade as this lipstick, which is incredibly stunning by the way. Kim Chi for Sugarpill, you did damn good gurl.
I wanted to keep this look pretty simple so I could draw focus to the amazing lip. I also wanted to keep it very cool toned so I have used no warm neutral shades, so out of character. To start I used the shade Bump from the Urban Decay Full Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette from my lash line to my brow bone. I then buffed Makeup Geek Rebel into my crease. I then used Faded from the Full Spectrum palette all over the lid. To finish this eye I foiled Makeup Geek’s blacklight and added it to my inner corner. PSA: The Makeup Geek duochrome shadows are amazing for an exciting inner corner pop of colour rather than a highlight. I then used the purple eyeliner from the Models Own All About Eyes Set in my water line. To finish the look, I buffed Faded into my lower lash line, added a winged liner and black mascara.
The lip colour takes centre stage in this look. I used Kim Chi for Sugarpill liquid lipstick. It’s an absolutely stunning and amazing colour. It’s a lilac with gorgeous blue glitter reflects in it. It’s amazing! The only issue I have with this is that the glitter particles make the lipstick quite drying. I can live with this for the colour though. Cool toned heaven.
I’m only going to mention the new things and the changes with my face, like I always do in this section. I have recently been loving the NYX Photo Loving Primer, it’s great to even out skin tone and it really does keep your make up in place. I have also been using the NYX Contour Pan in shade Toffee. I was going to purchase the entire highlight and contour palette, however I swatched the shades and decided that Toffee was best for me. To get the glow on in this look, as always, I used Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Ice Cold to keep this look as cold as possible.
