Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

Happy Wednesday!

I’ve bought more eyeshadow, I’m addicted, what can I say? At this point, I’m using my blog as justification and motivation to buy exciting eyeshadow. The ABH Modern Renaissance Palette has been greatly hyped and highly sought after since it’s release. When it was initially released, I wasn’t particularly interested or bothered about it, which I’m now pretty thankful for because trying to get it may have just drove me right up the wall. If you’re looking to buy it, it’s currently in stock on Beauty Bay. Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without Beauty Bay at this point. Absolute saviour.

I am extremely impressed with this palette. No wonder it has been so sought after. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now and it’s absolutely beautiful. You know I adore a warm toned eye look and this palette is absolutely perfect. I tried to dupe some of the colours in this palette before biting the bullet and purchasing it because I was only really after the really rich warm colours. Having said that, that was completely impossible to do! I’m happy I didn’t manage to do so because I have used every single eyeshadow in this palette and I’m completely head over heels besotted with it. The pigmentation is phenomenal, every single shade works together, they’re creamy, extremely buttery and I can’t rave about it enough.

I must also mention the packaging and the brush you get with this palette. I think the brush that comes with this palette is good quality, it’s double ended so its great for blending and packing on colour. I don’t use this brush as much as I use one’s I’ve specifically picked and bought but it is still a good brush. I’m particularly impressed with it as you usually get shitty brushes in with palettes, even if they are higher end. Now, finally, this is the only negative thing I have to say about this palette. The packaging is the one thing I don’t love. I think it’s cute and the velvet finish is a nice touch, however, you only have to look at it before it’s up the eyes in stains. I literally put it in my makeup bag once and there’s multiple black marks on it. I think even if you kept it out of the way of other makeup it would still somehow get marked to be honest. Aside from this, I’d totally recommend it so get your hands on it while you still have the chance!

Thank you for reading, Katie x
