Party Wear Picks

Happy Sunday!

It’s a week until Christmas which means the party season is well and truly upon us. I’ve picked out ten party pieces that are under £100 so you can steal the show this New Years Eve. I’ve also picked these pieces out as I planned to do a different post but ran out of daylight before I managed to get some decent photos together so that one will just have to wait. It’s a difficult life without a ring light and very few daylight hours. Hopefully this will be a decent and helpful post nonetheless.

Sequin Bodycon Dress – This is my own personal NYE look, its honestly 10/10 on. Megan Ellaby showed a similar shift dress in one of her recent videos that I loved, but personally  I thought I might get more than one wear out of it as it has matte sequins rather than shiny ones.

Check Suit – I think a suit is such a chic choice for a gal over Christmas. This check/tartan print is a great option for the festive period. With a pair of court shoes and a bralet this would just be fabulous. Maybe even just the jacket buttoned up with nothing underneath it if you’re daring.

Sequin Star Print Maxi Dress – This is definitely a new year number. The value for money on this piece is brilliant. I love stars as a print and the sequin embroidery is perfect for New Years celebrations. Would look fab with a pleather jacket and boots as well for a slightly dressed down, and warm, winter party look.

Bottle Green Velvet Jumpsuit – Velvet is such a Christmassy material and its so in this season. Hence why there is one or two pieces in this list. The bottle green definitely says Christmas to me and I think this would be a perfect Christmas day outfit as well as a great piece to have a couple of proseccos in.

Velvet Embroidered Bodycon Dress – I have also purchased this dress, it will be my Boxing day dress. My god I cannot wait to go out on Boxing day and rock this little number. As you can tell, my taste in dresses doesn’t vary much as I’m basically wearing the same dress in a different material two weeks running. I just love it!

Silver Mini Skirt – I have personally been on the look out for a silver skirt for a while. I love this one and its the closest to what I want however I’m still on the hunt for one that’s more of a gun metal. I think this would look so cute with boots, fishnets and a band tee for a NYE house party.

Velvet Wide Leg Trousers – Asos have styled these velvet pants in a very casual way however I think they have great party potential. These trousers with some platform boots and a bodysuit could look so amazing. The colour is so interesting too. Plus it would be like going out in pyjamas and who doesn’t want that?

Star Print Sequin Crop Top – As you probably know by now, I’m a sucker for stars and sequins. If you can’t wear this combo at this time of year, when can you wear it? This is such a great affordable option that would look stunning with a midi skirt and court shoes to keep it classy, for the beginning of the evening anyway. It probably won’t have the same gravitas at 3am scranning (eating for you non northerners) a kebab.

Mustard Velvet Jacket – I am so head over heels for this jacket, it’s stunning! The matching wide leg trousers are available too which would just be an absolute showstopper. This would also look banging with pleather trousers and heels. Just lovely!

Leopard Ruffle Shift Dress – This is giving me all the eighties vibes which is literally me all over. My style is generally an eighties dad so if this eighties dad fancied a night out in drag, this would be the dress. On a slightly more serious note, I may have to treat myself to this dress because I definitely need it in my wardrobe.

Thank you for reading, Katie x
