Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick Collection

Happy Wednesday!

As you’ve probably figured out by now I’m a huge fan of Jeffree Star’s cosmetic brand. I know, I know, he’s problematic. I physically cannot stop throwing my money at him, I honestly wish his brand wasn’t so god damn good. Everything I have bought from him has exceeded my expectations, hence why I have one or two of his Velour Liquid Lipsticks. I must admit I’ve bought most of these from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website but all of these are now available to purchase on Beauty Bay in the UK. Yay for no customs!

My collection and thoughts so far is as follows:

Androgyny – An extremely sought after natural lip colour that is slightly different on every skin tone, 100% my most worn in this collection.

Sagittarius – A mix of my two faves, Scorpio and Androgyny. I’m wearing it for the first time as I am writing this and honestly I love it, there’s a chance that this colour might even take the crown of most worn soon.

Scorpio – Such a fabulous purple shade that looks absolutely wicked on pale skin. I get so many compliments on this every time I wear it. I usually pair it with a lavender and copper cut crease look which goes down a storm. Let me know if you’d like to see a post on this look!

Masochist – A berry toned hot pink. I never thought I was a hot pink kinda gal until I purchased this lipstick and honestly fell so hard for it. I have a make up post that features it if you would like to see how I sometimes style it.

Redrum –  A classic red. I haven’t had this shade long but I can tell you that I’m so here for it. How had I gone so long without a proper red?

Designer Blood – A burgundy tone perfect for the winter months. This is also a very recent purchase because I also have Lime Crime’s Wicked so I didn’t think I needed another one. Having said that, I much prefer this one so I’m happy I invested.

Leo – The perfect autumnal shade. I must say I wear this one a hell of a lot as well. Looks banging with a copper eye or a berry toned eye. Such a great shade if you’re not that adventurous but you want to branch out from pinks.

Posh Spice – Now, this is the only colour that I don’t love. I wear it now and again but honestly it just doesn’t look the best with my skin tone. It’s like a neutral greige which looks great on some people, like my friend rocks it, but I cannot. Don’t let me put you off if you have your heart set on it!

Crocodile Tears – Firstly, how freakin’ adorable is this name? I personally find this shade way easier to style and pull off than Posh Spice. I’m really into this shade, depending on how you style it, it can look so editorial. I can’t wait to try out more looks with this. It’s another one I haven’t had long, it being in the Holiday Collection, and I’m so excited to play with it more.

Abused – A rich navy blue. I never thought I’d be in the market for a blue lipstick but honestly, I wear this lip colour so much. Looks great with a blue liner and a neutral shadow. I personally love rocking it with blue denim and silver boots.

Thank you for reading, Katie x
